Not to mention the chance to spend some time sharing a drink alongside locals like Chris Hemsworth and his mate, Matt Damon. Part two below dishes up some awesome sights and things to do in Byron.

For spectacular views and gorgeous scenery, the Lighthouse Walk is a must. This breathtaking hike takes you by the popular Watego Beach, through rainforest and along cliffs. The lighthouse itself was built at the turn of the century and has that romantic vibe that all old lighthouses seem to emanate.

If the lap of luxury is more your scene, Elements of Byron is where you must be. A stunning resort with a beautiful little outdoor paradise of a spa in which to zen away your day, don’t miss this spot if relaxation and beauty is your jam.

From 8-11am on Thursdays, The Byron Bay Farmers Market comes to life. With a range of deliciously fresh, local produce served up at the Butler St. Reserve, plenty of locals begin their Thursday morning at this perfect little market. Nothing makes you feel like a local like getting lost in the town’s market atmosphere.

Explore the Arts and Industry Estate. This awesome little community is a hub for the creative, the hip, the weird and the wonderful. A tiny city in itself, you could spend a day here here strolling the shops, getting coffees and bites or getting pampered and healed.
