The time is now, the day is here. Pureman will be participating in Movember: the month where men’s grooming is done for a cause that is close to our hearts, our faces, and ultimately, at the core of our health. It started in Australia. Now we continue to grow our mos for a cause.
The Movember Foundation is this: the only charity that works to support men’s health on a global scale, year round. They are tackling the big picture of prostate cancer and testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. They passionately have funded over 1,200 projects that all commit to helping men live happier, healthier, and longer lives.
Will you be participating? There are many ways you can support this cause by means of fundraising through their site or on your own:
- Grow your moustache – “more than just follicles on your face, your Mo is a ribbon – reminding the people in your life of the importance of men’s health”
- Move for Movember – “move a little or a lot, solo or in a team”.
- Host an event
- Attend an event
- Straight Up Donate – you can donate to a single effort or to the foundation directly at any time of year.
Note: your employer might match your donation. Check the Movember Foundation site to see if they’re listed, and if there aren’t any results, contact your Human Resources department.
We’re committed to this story and this cause. This is a charity that supports a league of (gentle)men internationally and truly has saved the lives of our brothers, fathers, and friends. Here at Pureman, we’ve promised this: for every purchase you make online, we will donate 10% of the proceeds back to the Movember Foundation.
So treat yourself to a few products that will help deal with the growing pains of growing a moustache. An oil? A balm? A wee moustache kit? You decide. Stay tuned for more tips and tricks to growing your mo in the coming weeks.
We remind you of this: Not only is the Movember Foundation successful in its fundraising initiatives, they keep a core set of values in mind: Movember supporters are fun, accountable, caring, humble, innovative, and remarkable agents of change. Doesn’t that sound like the kind of man you’d like to be?
