Founded on an ethos of honesty and integrity, The Ordinary is a fantastic, effective collection of ever changing skincare treatments. All of The Ordinary treatments are made by chemists in their own lab that is licensed by Health Canada. Their line is free of parabens, mineral and animal oils, sulphates, mercury and other harmful ingredients that can often be found in other skin products. The Ordinary prides itself on being safe and free from animal cruelty while still maintaining high quality, scientific integrity in their formulations.

Due to the fact that The Ordinary functions as a brilliant chemistry focused line, it can be a little daunting to create a routine, initially. But with a little research, including reading our blog articles, you will be able to create an effective, one of a kind skincare regime perfect for your personal needs. Generally, water formulations should be applied before oil formulations and The Ordinary recommends using a maximum of three serum formulations in a single regimen. Let’s take a look at one example of how these products can be added to your daily routine. The Ordinary Buffet is a high-quality peptide serum that targets many factors that cause aging, and can be used both day and night. Use this after cleansing with your quality cleanser of choice. You can follow this up, day and night, with their under eye Caffeine Solution. For extra hydration, you can use 100% Plant Derived Squalane in the morning. At bedtime after cleansing, apply any water based treatments (such as the Buffet) and follow up with The Ordinary 100% Organic Cold-Pressed Rose Hip Seed Oil. Check out The Ordinary’s Regimen Guide to get a more detailed idea of where to start.
